A+R EXCLUSIVE! Peter White fondly recalls Sunday mornings when he and his sister would crawl under the covers with their mum for their father's weekly ritual of breakfast in bed. He would lovingly prep it, complete with a single stem in a crystal vase. Inevitably, the vase would topple onto the toast. With his own young family now a reality, Peter is continuing the tradition--without the soggy toast. Le Petit Dej is a high-gloss acrylic tray with a vase that fluidly shoots up from the surface thanks to a cleverly and carefully designed injection molding process--produced entirely in the U.S.A. It's the first in what we hope will be a long series from Peter's new ByWhiteDesign. The Melbourne native designed graphics for Samsung, Starbucks, Coco Cola and Hersheys, and as creative director of food and beverage branding for Jet Blue's new JFK terminal. Peter dropped by A+R one Spring day with the tray prototype, and it was a love fest all around. Boxed, they make an ideal gift for weddings, anniversaries and any other excuse for breakfast in bed.
