You’ve already seen how the “underwater vehicle” works in many spy thrillers. Simply grasp both handles and press the starter. Straighten your arms and legs. You’re off – gliding like a dolphin through deep water. The propeller, which is protected by a safety grille, will direct the water under your body and gently tug you up to speeds of 3.5km or 2 miles per hour. Comfortably hold the vehicle at chest level – and you’ll have an unobstructed view of all sides.
The vehicle can be steered without exertion – and is easy to manoeuvre.
Just turn your body slightly in the direction you want to go: The vehicle will immediately point in that direction – and you can circuit. Each movement is absolutely flowing – there is no backwash of unpleasant air bubbles to obstruct your view. And there is nothing to worry about should you let it go because the propeller will stop automatically.
